LORI NOBLE

ARTIST / DESIGNER

ABOUT ME

As an artist, educator, and pattern designer, my passion for drawing started with my first box of crayons and has blossomed over the years.

Apart from my artistic skills, I am a sewist, quilter, crafter, and maker. I have combined these talents to embark on a new venture of teaching creative fiber and fabric classes.

My sewing journey began with a Singer Sew Handy as a child, sparking my creativity to design everything from couture garments to tote bags, exploring the diverse world of fabric and fiber. Fueled by curiosity and imagination, I began creating patterns for clothing, home décor, and whimsical accessories.

Originally from Chicago, I now reside in Phoenix, AZ, trading snow shovels and parkas for sunscreen and shorts.

My work is vibrant, colorful, and playful, showcasing a whimsical touch that reflects my distinct perspective and creativity.

Feel free to explore. You might discover something that resonates with you for a current or future project.

TRADITIONAL DRAWINGS

When I draw, I strive to bring a fresh perspective to traditional subjects, infusing them with my unique artistic vision. At right I depicted a cactus flower using a vibrant blend of color pencil and ink, capturing its delicate yet resilient beauty with meticulous detail and striking contrasts. Similarly, I crafted a feathered wing with ink and marker, emphasizing the intricate patterns and textures that make each feather special. Through these techniques, I aim to breathe new life into familiar subjects, inviting viewers to see them in a new light and appreciate the wonder in everyday natural forms.

MY PROCESS

OF CREATING

It starts with an idea, as you can see, it’s not always pretty………..in the beginning. BUT, then sketches turn into foundations for painting, creating a sewn piece, Illustrator groundwork and ultimately through the creative process and edits the end piece.
